Chapter 7: from Astorga to Villafranca del Bierzo.
Astorga’s city makes it difficult at the moment of choosing what to visit: the Bishop Palace, work of Gaudí himself, or the Cathedral.
Crossing Castrillo de Polvazares, we will enter the Maragatería and, without surrending to the fatigue, we will reach the Cruz de Ferro. Antonio and Margaret can’t be happier: the stony way, the highest point has stayed behind!
A refreshing pause in Molinaseca and we will follow our couple of walkers across a sea of vineyards up to reaching Cacabelos. But before, in Ponferrada we will enjoy the luxury of visiting the impressive templar castle in 360º.
